Hiking in the GTA
We hike for a couple of hours on the third Sunday of each month, year round.
We take turns planning hikes throughout the GTA.We hike anywhere we can get some exercise and enjoy the beauty of the environment around us — in parks, along the waterfront, in the river ravines, in conservation areas.
Please contact Pat Ferbyack.
Walk and Talk
When it comes to walking regularly, it helps to have walking friends. Join these women who meet for an hour-long walk in parks, usually in Etobicoke, on Tuesday mornings. Walking speed is up to you. Some of the group are vigorous walkers while others are leisure walkers. Winter walks occur on cleared sidewalks.
Please contact Jean Passi or Mary Ann Dean.
Exploring the PATH
This interest group meets on the last Wednesday morning of the month. We will stroll along and explore the underground PATH and then stop for lunch together. Each month we explore a different part of the PATH.
If you would like to be a “guide” for a small group, please contact Linda Rose.
Jaunters
Jaunters enjoy daytime outings the third Tuesday of the month. We visit places of interest such as museums, historical sites, and art displays in and around Toronto. Lunch is included in the outing.
Please contact Debby Wright for more information.
Jaunters is also classified under learning.
Winning at Losing
The Winning at Losing group meets every Monday 11 am – 12 pm. The purpose of the group is to assist members to lose weight. Each member has their own program/path they are using. Other members encourage and share ideas. We have been meeting on Zoom for the past pandemic year with the occasional outside meeting in good weather.
